Artista di concetto, attenta ai dettagli, alla scelta dei particolari, fa sviluppare le sue storie fotografiche in un fluire di temi, musiche, "cornici" tutti da lei scelti e selezionati. 
La sua abilità creativa le permette di allestire il set fotografico creandolo con le sue stesse mani entrando con altrettanta abilità in una totale empatia con le modelle ed i modelli. 
Pur essendo portata per percorsi fotografici a tema, accostandosi quindi di più al settore della ritrattistica, ha un profondo amore per la street photografy, curiosa del mondo e della gente che lo abita. Caratteristica quest'ultima che gli permette con abilità di cogliere angoli nascosti e volti caratteristici. In questo senso troverà massima espressione in un reportage fatto a New York a settembre 2014.

Annalisa Marino, nata a Roma nel 1977, cresce in una famiglia di lunga tradizione fotografica. Respira fin da piccola la suggestione emotiva di quest'arte.
La fotografia diviene per lei non solo uno strumento di lavoro, ma un meccanismo attraverso cui elaborare la vita e le sue mille sfaccettature . La macchina fotografica divine il suo personalissimo punto di equilibrio, la foto lo strumento per veicolare i propri pensieri, i propri sentimenti verso il mondo, mentre del mondo con delicatezza osserva luoghi, persone, storie lontane nel tempo, vite sovrapponibili nonostante la loro assoluta diversità.

Annalisa Marino esordisce con una personale dal titolo "L'Essenziale"nel 2013. Mostra fotografica in tre giornate tenuta presso L'Accento Teatro a Roma . La mostra,allestita all'interno del teatro e strutturata in modo che lo spettatore si trovasse immerso in un armonia di suoni, immagini video e soprattutto fotografie, è stato il risultato di un percorso di fotografia emozionale compiuto con bambini dai 4 agli 11 anni del centro estivo gestito dall'associazione "Bimbi felici... Le farfalle". "L'Essenziale"è stato per chi ha avuto la fortuna di parteciparvi e di vedere il video che ne è nato, uno scoprire il mondo attraverso gli occhi. Gli occhi dei bambini, gli occhi gli adulti... gli occhi che non possono mentire o nascondersi. Una girandola di emozioni e volti di persone colte nella quotidianità di un gesto, un lavoro, un pensiero. Caleidoscopica vita silenziosa e rumorosa allo stesso tempo. Il passaggio dall' è stato semplice e naturale. Tra le tante emozioni del mondo ci si sofferma su quelle nascoste, sui dolori nascosti. Cicatrici presentato al "12 pose " di Roma il 15 febbraio 2014 ( poi selezionato per la settimana della violenza sulle donne Bari novembre 2015 associazione ...) fa esplodere l'immagine di una donna violata, abusata, ma che prende coscienza di non voler più essere prigioniera. Una donna determinata a curare le proprie ferite riscattando la propria identità di essere umano libero. Da cicatrici, come seguendo una regia nascosta che orienta la macchina fotografica verso la donna nasce "Eva" presentato nell'estate del 2014 ( la cui fotografia di punta è stata selezionata come vincitrice per le sezioni immagini del Forest Graal - fuori salone Expo' di Milano 2015) trova protagonista una donna che scopre le proprie radici nella terra, nella natura. Consapevolezza di una femminilità ancora acerba essenza di una fanciulla che delicatamente si avvicinerà al suo essere donna. Una femminilità che si coglie in una totale simbiosi con la natura e che sembra quasi dover esplodere da un momento all'altro, come di fatto avviene in "Prologue", lavoro anche se ancora in divenire, come già successo per altre foto di Annalisa Marino, è stato apprezzato al punto di essere selezionato da Vogue International. In questo ulteriore tassello del percorso di Annalisa Marino si racconta la femminilità più vera del corpo e della mente.
